Is Invisalign right for me?

To determine if you’re a candidate for Invisalign, Dr. Sahabi discusses your oral health history, examines your teeth and mouth, and looks at your recent X-rays. She also reviews your oral health and cosmetic dentistry goals before personalizing an orthodontics treatment plan.

What happens during Invisalign treatment?

Dr. Sahabi uses a digital scanner to take pictures of your teeth and gums, allowing a dental lab to create a series of custom-fitted aligners. Follow her instructions when your aligners are ready to ensure highly effective results.

Plan to wear Invisalign aligners for 20-22 hours daily, but take them out of your mouth to brush your teeth, floss, and eat. Keep the aligners clean using a toothbrush and toothpaste or an Invisalign cleaning system.

Every week or two, or as directed by Dr. Sahabi, switch to the next set of aligners in your treatment series. Invialign treatment might last 6-18 months, though every patient has unique needs. Should you lose an aligner, call the Los Gatos Centre for Dental Excellence office as soon as possible to order a replacement.

What can I expect after my treatment?

After completing Invisalign treatment, you can wear a retainer to keep your teeth in a desirable position. Continue with exceptional oral hygiene habits at home by brushing your teeth after meals, flossing daily, and seeing Dr. Sahabi every six months for cleanings and a dental exam.
